Kerry is Educare's Nursery Director, she can't bear sitting still, loves crazy dancing and brings plenty of energy to the Educare team.
Having spent more than 17 years in childcare, including more than seven at Educare, she is one of our most experienced members of staff. She is also very highly qualified, with NVQ childcare qualifications at Levels 2 and 3 as well as a BA (Hons) in early childhood care and education.
Kerry’s interests include travel and socialising, and she combined the two when she headed to Cuba to get married in 2013.
Kerry will also go the extra mile at work. She said: “The caring environment is what makes Educare so special. The staff are always there to help the parents and children.”
Vicki is Educare's Deputy Manager - currently Covering Kerry as Manager whilst Kerry is on maternity. She has worked in all four of the nurseries rooms since joining us in 2007.
She is qualified in childcare to NVQ Level 3 and also holds a Level 2 qualification in team leading.
She said: “All the staff at Educare are extremely kind and caring and will always go the extra mile to ensure happiness and to provide an environment in which the children can thrive.”
Vicki likes to relax by playing netball and she is a member of two teams in the Beverley area.
Kerry has recently joined the Educare team in our Out of School Club. She is level 2 NVQ qualified in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools. Kerry also holds a level 3 diploma in Childcare and Education. Kerry volunteered at Swinemoor Primary and St Johns Primary to gain a variety of experience. Kerry also worked as a teaching assistant at St Nicholas Primary as a one to one and has 6 years experience with Little Gruffalos in the Out of School Club. Kerry loves music, reading and watching films. Kerry said about Educare 'Educare is a calm and caring environment, its very welcoming and the children really do come first'.
Shona arrived at Educare in 2011, following in the footsteps of her son Riley who was with us from age six months until moving on to primary school.
She is qualified to Level 3 in childcare, learning and development and enjoys working at Educare because of the “bubbly, friendly staff.”
Away from work, Shona says she enjoys spending time with friends and family and walking her dog, Bertie.
As a Beverley resident Amy looked no further than Educare when the time came to find a nursery for her own children.
Amy has been with us for more than ten years and in addition to holding a Level 3 nursery nurse qualification also brings a number of special skills. She is qualified in First Aid and health and safety, and she also holds food hygiene qualifications which come in handy when she runs baking sessions for the children.
Julie has worked at Educare for more than 14 years and holds a BTEC National Diploma in childhood studies.
She particularly enjoys working with the children on creative activities and contributing towards a family environment throughout the nursery.
Julie said: “Educare is a family-run business and parents like the homely feel of the nursery.”
Tina worked on planning parties in a bar before joining Educare in 2012 and she does her bit here to make sure everyone has a good time.
She holds qualifications in safeguarding and health and safety and finds Educare a fun and friendly place.
Tina said: “All of the staff are very friendly and most have families of their own so know exactly how to look after the children. We are always coming up with different ideas and that means there’s always something new happening.”
Away from work Tina enjoys going to the theatre and the cinema and spending time with her own family.
Laura Tuttle joined the Educare team during the summer of 2013 having achieved a CACHE Level 3 qualification in childcare and education and Level 2 in First Aid.
She says she sees Educare as a “loving, caring and special nursery” and she particularly enjoys working with the children on creative play.
Away from work, Laura enjoys shopping and socialising with friends and family.
Emma joined the Educare team in 2013 after previously working at a nursery in Driffield, she holds her NVQ level 3 in Childcare.
Being a Mum herself Emma has a good idea of what quality childcare looks like and that is why her daughter attended the nursery until she began school, and now attends the Out of School Club.
Emma believes that the parent's, children and staff work effectively together to make a fun and thriving nursery environment.
Sarah arrived at Educare in 2010 with her daughter Jessica, who was with us from the baby room right through to the Out of School Club.
She holds a CACHE Level 3 Diploma in childcare and education and in her free time enjoys dancing and spending time with her family.
Sarah said: “We have a hard-working team at Educare and we work together to provide a caring, well-supervised and stimulating environment for the children.”
Roz enjoys working at Educare because she feels that all of staff work as part of a team and meet the individual needs of all children who attend. She also believes that the staff have good relationships with the children, and these are the reasons she brings her own daughters to Educare.
Roz has worked at Educare since 2012 and holds a BTEC Level 3 in Childcare, Learning and Development as well as having A level's in Food Technology, Psychology and Geography.
When Roz isn't busy working at Educare she puts her Food Technology qualification to good use by baking lot's of delicious creations.
Jane worked in a school nursery for 18 years, gaining a BTEC Early Years National Diploma, and came to us in 2012 after moving to East Yorkshire from Bradford.
She said: “Educare is a great place to work because the staff are very friendly and the children are happy and contented.”
Jane enjoys walking and socialising with friends as well as relaxing with the TV, watching soaps and reality shows.
