Kerry is Educare's Nursery Director, she can't bear sitting still, loves crazy dancing and brings plenty of energy to the Educare team.
Having spent more than 17 years in childcare, including more than seven at Educare, she is one of our most experienced members of staff. She is also very highly qualified, with NVQ childcare qualifications at Levels 2 and 3 as well as a BA (Hons) in early childhood care and education.
Kerry’s interests include travel and socialising, and she combined the two when she headed to Cuba to get married in 2013.
Kerry will also go the extra mile at work. She said: “The caring environment is what makes Educare so special. The staff are always there to help the parents and children.”
Kerry has recently joined the Educare team in our Out of School Club. She is level 2 NVQ qualified in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools. Kerry also holds a level 3 diploma in Childcare and Education. Kerry volunteered at Swinemoor Primary and St Johns Primary to gain a variety of experience. Kerry also worked as a teaching assistant at St Nicholas Primary as a one to one and has 6 years experience with Little Gruffalos in the Out of School Club. Kerry loves music, reading and watching films. Kerry said about Educare 'Educare is a calm and caring environment, its very welcoming and the children really do come first'.
Vicki is Educare's Deputy Manager - currently Covering Kerry as Manager whilst Kerry is on maternity. She has worked in all four of the nurseries rooms since joining us in 2007.
She is qualified in childcare to NVQ Level 3 and also holds a Level 2 qualification in team leading.
She said: “All the staff at Educare are extremely kind and caring and will always go the extra mile to ensure happiness and to provide an environment in which the children can thrive.”
Vicki likes to relax by playing netball and she is a member of two teams in the Beverley area.
Helen joined Educare at the beginning of 2013 and holds a Level 3 BTEC Diploma in childcare learning and development.
When she’s not at work Helen enjoys socialising and going to the cinema.
Sarah said: “All the staff at Educare are friendly and welcoming. The children are happy and contented and really enjoy coming here.”
Felicity or Fliss as she is more commonly known, is currently studying Child and Youth Studies at Derby University and started working at Educare in January 2015. She has gained experience in working with children after working as a Nanny and volunteering in school settings, she is very talented, listing the ability to play the piano and violin, as well as making her own clothes amongst her skills.
Fliss believes Educare has a brilliant team of people who are committed to providing the best care and learning experiences for all of the children.
Becky has been at Educare since 2009 and holds a CACHE Level 3 Diploma in childcare and education.
She lives locally and knows from her friends around the area that Educare is very popular because of the happy, friendly environment.
Jenni has a 2 children, they all joined the Educare team in June 2015. She holds a Level 3 BTEC in children's Care and Learning and has previously worked as a children's representative in Spain.
In her free time Jenni loves to spend time with her family, and believes Educare has a warm and friendly environment in which children can thrive.
Sam spent five years as a nanny before joining the team at Educare during 2012.
She holds a Level 3 Diploma in childcare and education and is dedicated to helping the children enjoy their time here and learn as they grow.
Sam said: “I want to help the children develop to the best of their ability and I want to make sure they have fun and learn through play.”
When she’s not working Sam enjoys socialising with family and friends.
Donna already had nine years of nursery experience before she joined Educare during 2012.
She is qualified to BTEC National Diploma Level 3 in early years and says Educare helps children and their parents in many ways.
Donna said: “We are a hard-working, friendly team. Educare provides a stimulating environment and there is a lot of interaction with the children.”
Children are Sara’s life. In addition to having helped look after everyone at Educare since 2010 she has three daughters, a son, a step-daughter and a step-son at home, so it’s no surprise that she lists her main interest as spending time with her family.
Sara’s qualifications include a Level 3 Diploma in pre-school practice, NVQ Level 2 in leadership and management and NVQ Level 3 in childcare learning and development.
Sara said: “There is a real family feel at Educare and that comes from the dedication of all the staff.”
Shona arrived at Educare in 2011, following in the footsteps of her son Riley who was with us from age six months until moving on to primary school.
She is qualified to Level 3 in childcare, learning and development and enjoys working at Educare because of the “bubbly, friendly staff.”
Away from work, Shona says she enjoys spending time with friends and family and walking her dog, Bertie.
As a Beverley resident Amy looked no further than Educare when the time came to find a nursery for her own children.
Amy has been with us for more than ten years and in addition to holding a Level 3 nursery nurse qualification also brings a number of special skills. She is qualified in First Aid and health and safety, and she also holds food hygiene qualifications which come in handy when she runs baking sessions for the children.
