Educare Nursery Reopening Statement
Dear Parents/Carers
We hope you are all well and staying safe.
Following the governments announcement on Sunday evening along with further guidance received yesterday we are considering the possibility of reopening the nursery from the 1st week in June 2020 if possible to do so. This will happen over a 10 day period to prevent all children and staff coming back on the same day. The staff will return first followed by different groups of children over a 1-2 week period.
We will only be able to do so if the 5 Key Tests set out by the government are met and the country does not revert back to total lock down.
In the meantime, we would like to start finalising our reopening strategy. A big part of this is understanding our numbers so we can meet our staff to child ratios along with a host of other safety measures and considerations such as social distancing, cleaning schedules and introducing more Vitamin D into our menus.
The places will be limited and the children will be spaced out.
Our initial opening times will be 8am – 5pm.
We will ONLY be opening to those children of key workers during June and will re evaluate from July through to August.
We would be very grateful if you could contact Vicki Morris (Nursery Director) ASAP for a temporary registration form to let us know if your child/children will be returning to nursery from the 8th June should we be able to reopen.
Please email enquiries@educarenursery.karoo.co.uk for your form.
Once this information has been returned we can make a decision as to if we re open and if we do how safe we can keep our children and staff.
The before and after school club WILL NOT be reopening at this time.
We thank you for your understanding and patience during these difficult and upsetting times.
Stay Safe
